At the Blue Reef Aquarium you'll come face to face with incredible sealife with everything from giant crabs and lobsters to seahorses and tropical sharks and you'll get a chance to find out more about these creatures' amazing lives in over 40 naturally recreated displays. At the Aquarium's heart is a huge ocean tank where an underwater walkthrough tunnel offers incredibly close encounters with the stunning beauty of an exotic coral reef - home to hundreds of colourful fish.
With over 40 living displays featuring fascinating marine life from around the world, Blue Reef has plenty to offer all visitors. Blue Reef has won international acclaim for its pioneering rescue work with stranded sea turtles. Turtle Creek offers a rare glimpse into the bizarre lives of the marine-going turtles' freshwater cousins. Among the species on display are bizarre Mata Mata turtles from Brazil, rescued Mud turtles and the endangered Pig-nosed turtle from Australia. Turtle Rescue - Blue Reef has rescued, rehabilitated and released three sea turtles.
PREDATORS The world's oceans may seem peaceful places but they're really battlefields where only the smartest and strongest survive. The mysterious depths are home to many strange and terrifying creatures. This sinister new trail brings you face to face with a host of dangerous characters including stinging jellyfish, venomous lionfish and the giant pacific octopus! Discover the hunting skills of the marine world's predators. Some use high-speed attacks, while others lay in wait for their victims using camouflage to keep themselves hidden. Sonic booms, electricity, missiles, chemical weapons and even fishing rods are also utilised in the never-ending battle for survival. Don't miss 'JELLY BABIES'; Discover all about the secret world of the jellyfish and its awesome reputation as a hunter and follow its complex lifecycle in the new 'Jelly Babies' nursery.

As well as innovative displays, informative talks and feeding demonstrations, there's an ever changing programme of events, exhibitions and themed activities to keep the family fully entertained We're a baby friendly attraction with changing facilities and our café provides high chairs, bottle warmer and a microwave is available for parental use.
