Pine Lodge Guest House Leisure

Our lovely gardens and fabulous heated swimming pool are reason enough for many guests to spend their days here at Pine Lodge, but Cornwall is a beautiful county and it is worth making the effort to investigate the numerous other delights on our doorstep.

Newquay

... is a resort of special appeal to beach lovers, sunbathers and surfers, and wonderful beach choices within easy walk of Pine Lodge. But, in addition, the resort boasts:

Golf (*we can book golf for you at various courses, sometimes with discounts!) and miniature golf.

The award winning NEWQUAY ZOO.

BLUE REEF AQUARIUM: 'jaw' dropping amazement when you come face to face with tropical sharks - and lots more!

WATERWORLD.
WATERGATE BAY (sea, surf and 'EXTREME' sports) - with 'LUSTY GLAZE' one mile in the other direction.

TRENANCE GARDENS: a mass of colour with boating lake, tea rooms, miniature railway etc; and offering a peaceful alternative to the razzmatazz so popular in the centre of the resort.

Walking: (a favourite of numerous options is the one along the Gannel Estuary from Trenance to Crantock. We suggest that you try this - and many more).

.....Nightlife, entertainment, restaurants and bars - the finest Cornwall has to offer!

Further afield but within easy driving distance of Pine Lodge:

  • THE EDEN PROJECT: a horticultural experience in one of the UK's 'Top 5' visitor attractions.
  • LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN: one of England's most mysterious estates!
  • NATIONAL TRUST: a number of stately homes, castles and gardens.
  • S.W. COAST PATH: offers more scenically breath taking walks.
  • NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM: (Falmouth) Helen McCarthur dropped anchor here after her solo world trip.

Visit also:

  • ORCA SEA-FARIS
  • ST. MICHAEL'S MOUNT
  • TINTAGEL CASTLE
  • MINACK THEATRE
  • THE TATE - ST. IVES
  • GOONHILLY SATELLITE EARTH STATION
  • LAND'S END

Finally -"Food For Thought!".....

Why not try some of your 'TV favourite' restaurants:

  • RICK STEIN'S-Padstow: seafood restaurant, bistro, cafe, deli and seafood school
  • JAMIE OLIVER'S "Fifteen" - overlooking Watergate Bay.

We are always happy to advise you on these and lots of other attractions plus, if you are visiting us via public transport, ( perhaps by flight to Newquay Airport, just 10 minutes away), or if you just prefer to relax on an organised coach trip....it's well worth remembering that many excursions pick up and drop off immediately outside Pine Lodge!
